Elmhurst Comes Together for the Kings Combat Painting Project!

Over two inspiring days, neighbors, artists, families, and volunteers came together to create something that will leave a lasting mark on Elmhurst. The Kings Combat Mural was more than a public art project. It was a celebration of community, creativity, and the belief that when people work together, they can make their neighborhood more vibrant and welcoming.

Hosted by City Mission NYC, the event invited people of all ages and backgrounds to pick up a paintbrush and become part of something bigger than themselves. Every brushstroke contributed to a mural that reflects the diversity, resilience, and unity that make Elmhurst such a special place.

The mural was designed not only to beautify the neighborhood but also to create a space that inspires hope and connection. Throughout the two-day event, participants painted alongside one another, shared conversations, met new neighbors, and experienced the joy of working toward a common goal.
